Setting Up an APG Serial Cash Drawer

This document is intended to be used with the APG Model 484 SerialPRO II with 10 dipswitches.

1. The dipswitches must be changed from the factory default settings to the following:
   1. Off
   2. Off
   3. On
   4. Off
   5. On
   6. Off
   7. Off
   8. Off
   9. Off
   10. Off
2. Install a generic/ text-only printer in Windows on the port the drawer is connected to. Name it "Cash Drawer on COMx" (x represents com port number) Set that port's flow control setting to Hardware.
3. In DirecTouch, assign the cash drawer as normal, but use 85 as the esc code.
